MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078276 A) filed by Sri Manakula Vinayagar Engineering College on June 25, 2026, for Drowing Detection And Rescue System With Automatic Inflation.

Abstract: The titled invention discloses a Drowning Detection And Rescue System With Automatic Inflation for providing real-time monitoring, intelligent drowning detection, automatic flotation assistance, and emergency communication in aquatic environments. The system comprises a heart rate sensor (1), a motion sensor (2), a io water sensor (3), a microcontroller (4), an Al processing unit (5), an automatic inflation mechanism (6), an loT module with location tracking (7), a cloud platform (8), and a user device interface (9). The sensors continuously monitor the user's physiological and environmental conditions and transmit the collected data to the microcontroller for processing. The Al processing unit analyzes the processed data to identify drowning 15 conditions. Upon detection, the microcontroller simultaneously activates the automatic inflation mechanism to provide flotation support and the loT module with location tracking to transmit emergency alerts and location information. The transmitted information is stored in the cloud platform and accessed through the user device interface for timely rescue and monitoring.
