The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a dropper arrangement for switchboards, designed to distribute electrical power to multiple loads through functional units or feeders. The arrangement comprises a plurality of main busbars (1) extending horizontally across the switchboard, and two sets of droppers (2) connected to the main busbars (1) via horizontal links (3) and vertical links (4). The first set of droppers (2) feeds power to the front verticals, while the second set of droppers (2) feeds power to the rear verticals of the switchboard. The phase sequence of the droppers (2) is symmetric when viewed from their respective fronts, allowing the same link arrangement and bill of materials to be used for both front and rear feeders, as well as for left and right feeders. Supports (8) are positioned at regular intervals along the droppers (2) to maintain structural integrity and short circuit withstand capability. The invention provides flexibility in using different cross-sections and conductor materials for the front and rear droppers based on rating specifications, and facilitates easier assembly and maintenance by providing better access to dropper joints (7). The dropper arrangement ensures consistent phase sequence, improved current density distribution, and cost savings, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications. Figures 1 & 2
