MUMBAI, India, July 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611065059 A) filed by Greater Noida Institute Of Technology Engineering Institute on May 23, 2026, for Drone-Based Plant Health Monitoring System With Multispectral Image Analysis And Crop Stress Classification.

Abstract: Abstract A drone based plant health monitoring system is disclosed for drone-based crop imaging and plant health monitoring. The system receives RGB images, thermal images, multispectral images, flight path data and field location identifiers from an unmanned aerial vehicle, crop fields, farmers and a monitoring dashboard through an input interface. A conditioning portion prepares the received input by filtering, normalizing, parsing, segmenting or otherwise converting the input into a structured representation suited to the particular processing task. A decision portion then flies along a predefined path, captures field images, removes noise, segments crop regions, classifies plant condition and marks field portions requiring attention. The system generates disease indicators, nutrient deficiency flags, water-stress locations, pest infestation markers and crop-health maps through an output interface and stores a corresponding processing record. The arrangement links acquisition, conditioning, decision processing and output generation in one operative chain, because aerial images from different spectral channels are processed into field-location specific health classifications.
