MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641080548 A) filed by Narsimha Reddy Engineering College Nrcm on June 30, 2026, for Drone-Assisted Autonomous Construction Quality Inspection System With 3d Deviation Analytics.
Inventors include Dharavath Venkatesh; M Venkateshwari; Jamkari Arunkumar; S. Baliram; and M Sravanthi.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: An autonomous construction inspection system integrating an aerial platform (110), imaging module (120), selective LiDAR module (130), and BIM interface (150) for performing three-dimensional deviation analysis of as-built structures. The system aligns reconstructed geometry using constrained alignment processor (160) and computes vector-based deviation using engine (170). A tolerance module (180) evaluates compliance and a severity index generator (190) ranks structural deviations. Grid-referenced waypoint module (200) enables repeatable inspection cycles independent of GPS drift. The invention enables accurate, safe, and automated structural compliance verification in construction environments.
