The camera module captures real-time facial images or video frames of the driver, while the processing unit analyzes facial features such as eye blinking patterns, eye closure duration, yawning frequency, and head position using image processing and pattern recognition techniques. When the system identifies indications of drowsiness based on predefined conditions and thresholds, it automatically activates one or more alert mechanisms, including audible alarms, voice warnings, vibration alerts, flashing lights, or mobile notifications, to immediately draw the driver's attention and prevent potential accidents. The proposed system is adaptable for installation in various types of vehicles, including cars, buses, trucks, taxis, and commercial transportation systems. The invention further discloses a method for detecting driver fatigue by capturing facial data, analyzing eye and head movements, identifying fatigue symptoms, comparing the observed behavior with predefined drowsiness parameters, and generating timely warning signals upon detection of unsafe conditions.
