One or more locomotive insights indicate one or more parameters associated with the operation of the locomotive. The display module (204) provides control options to a driver of locomotive. The control options are based on plurality of audio-visual representations of the communication protocol converted plurality of signals and one or more locomotive insights from the locomotive. The control options indicate parameters received as a driver input for the operation of the locomotive.
