MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527092394 A) filed by Mitsubishi Electric Mobility Corporation on September 26, 2025, for Drive Device And Electric Power Steering Device.

Abstract: A drive device according to the present disclosure comprises: a motor having a rotating shaft, a rotor fixed to the rotating shaft, and a winding that rotates the rotor about the motor shaft when a current flows through the winding; and a control unit attached to the motor to control the current to be supplied to the winding. The control unit comprises: an inverter circuit including a plurality of switching elements and capable of supplying a current to the winding; a rotation sensor that detects the rotation angle of the rotating shaft; and a circuit board on which the inverter circuit and the rotation sensor are mounted. In a plan view, the rotation sensor is located at a position that overlaps with the motor shaft, and the plurality of switching elements are located along the outer periphery of the circuit board.
