MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641112188 A) filed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on September 18, 2026, for Drift-Compensated Generation Of A Sign Language Video Output.

Inventors include Gunasundari, Anbarasan Chanthiran; and Vijayalakshmi, Thanammal Indu.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system (100) to generate a sign language video output (124) from a source text stream carrying a time stamp. A compression unit (106) reduces the stream to a concept sequence, a resolution unit (110) returns a group of sign video segments (112-2) through ordered resolution levels, and an allocation unit (114) distributes a playback interval across the group. A drift register (116) accumulates an offset between the playback interval and a rendered group, a budget corrector (114-4) shifts a playback interval of a succeeding concept into a corrected playback interval, and a level selector (118) truncates the ordered set once the offset crosses a bound. Unlike conventional word-substitution arrangements, the system holds a signed rendition aligned across lectures and broadcasts.
