The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a Design-Referenced Adaptive Inspection and Repair Verification System for PCB Assembly. The system receives Gerber/CAD information, optionally with BOM and centroid data, and extracts component-level design characteristics. A component-risk assessment module determines the relative inspection difficulty of individual components and generates component-specific inspection profiles defining parameters such as region of interest, image resolution, illumination condition, and capture count. A camera acquires images of the assembled PCB and AI-based visual inspection is combined with design-referenced geometric verification to detect visible assembly defects. Inspection results are classified as PASS, FAIL, or UNCERTAIN. Uncertain components may undergo targeted secondary inspection using adjusted inspection conditions. Following operator repair, the same design-defined component region is reacquired and independently compared with the original design reference to verify the repair. The system provides a low-cost adaptive inspection architecture for prototype, low- volume, MSME-scale, and repair/rework PCB assembly applications.
