The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: A double-pivot hinge system (100) for dual-sided door operation includes first and second rotating elements (102, 104) mounted on an outer shaft (106) and coupled to first and second pivot-actuation hubs (110, 112) through couplers (114, 116), an inner shaft (108) disposed within outer shaft (106) for rotation about a common fixed axis, hubs (110, 112) being rotatably mounted on a door (204), first and second pairs of pivot rods (118) coupled to respective hubs (110, 112), and pivot recesses (120) disposed on opposite sides of a door frame (202) to receive pivot rods (118) and establish first and second pivot axes, first and second stoppers (122, 124) to limit hub rotation, and a release pin (126) selectively coupling shafts (106, 108) for synchronized rotation and releasable decoupling, wherein rotation of either rotating element (102, 104) engages one pivot axis while releasing other to enable dual-sided operation of door (204).
