The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT DOOR-MOUNTED THERMAL FIRE DETECTION APPARATUS FOR ELECTRICAL CABINETS A fire detection apparatus for mounting on a door of an electrical cabinet comprises a thermal imaging sensor (10) capturing thermal frame data from the cabinet interior, an inertial measurement unit (20) detecting angular rate data associated with door movement, and a microcontroller (30) coupled thereto. The microcontroller (30) determines door-state transitions based on a dual-modality verification protocol confirming agreement between the angular rate data and a thermal scene discontinuity metric within a correlation time window, computes a spatial correlation metric between a current thermal frame and a stored reference thermal fingerprint following door closure, declares re-baselining complete when the spatial correlation metric exceeds a convergence threshold for consecutive frames, and generates a relay actuation signal upon thermal anomaly detection. The apparatus further comprises a suppression relay (40) receiving the relay actuation signal and a supercapacitor (50) providing energy storage during power interruptions. (Fig. 1)
