MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641124251 A) filed by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham on October 16, 2026, for Distributed Stroboscopic Inspection With Rotational Feedback And Adjustable Flash Timing.

Inventors include Shrivastava, Tejas; Thekkinakam Chandramana, Sreerag; Santhanakrishnan, Sujeeth; and Nalinakshan, Shankar.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a distributed stroboscopic inspection arrangement for a rotating component (110). A sensing node (104) includes a rotation sensor (104- 4) generating a rotation data stream (104-4A), and a first microcontroller (104-2) determining a rotation period (104-2B) from timer values recorded by a hardware input timer (104-2A). A control node (106) receives the rotation period over a shared communication bus (102), displays the rotation period, and admits selection between feedback and refinement modes. In refinement mode, a target period value (106-6B) may be entered through a target period input field (106-4A). A strobe node (108) generates light pulses (108-2A) having a fixed illumination duration and a pulse period based on the rotation period or target period. An imaging node (112) captures image frames, identifies pixel misalignment between successive frames, and generates a phase-adjustment request. Unlike conventional network-mediated timing, local hardware-timer control reduces dependence on communication latency during pulse generation.
