MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621083206 A) filed by Rayzon Engineering Private Ltd on July 07, 2026, for Distributed Autonomous Solar Tracker Control System Having Edge-Implemented Tracker Control Units.

Inventors include T. V. S Madhav; and Deep Jagdishbhai Lakkad.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT DISTRIBUTED AUTONOMOUS SOLAR TRACKER CONTROL SYSTEM HAVING EDGE-IMPLEMENTED TRACKER CONTROL UNITS A utility-scale solar tracker system architecture physically eliminates centralized Network Control Unit (NCU) hardware layers to establish a 1:1 single-row operational failure domain. The system comprises a plurality of solar tracker rows distributed across a utility field layout, each independently managed by a dedicated standalone Tracker Control Unit (TCU) mounted directly to the row. Each TCU integrates a single physical printed circuit board assembly housing a localized spatial-temporal positioning engine, a core Microcontroller Unit (MCU), an electromechanical driver circuit, and an actuator assembly. The core MCU independently edge-computes solar tracking trajectories using localized coordinates and satellite-derived time references, converting them into motor control outputs. The architecture further integrates dual-media non-volatile edge data logging, isolated cryptographic security verification, and a hardware-interrupt-driven emergency multicast interface for autonomous meteorological hazard stowing.
