The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: A disposable surgical tooltip (100) for detachable use with a reusable tool shaft (108), for robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery, is disclosed. The tooltip (100) comprises a grasper body (102) including a pair of grasper jaws (102A) configured to provide at least one of a pitch motion, a yaw motion, and a grasp motion, and an elbow-type transmission mechanism (102B) configured to convert rotational input motion about a first axis into rotational output motion about a second axis, the second axis being orthogonal to the first axis. A shaft assembly (104) extends from a first end of the tooltip (100) to the grasper body (102), the shaft assembly (104) comprising a plurality of disposable shafts (116) configured to transmit axial translation and rotational motion from a reusable tool shaft (108) to the grasper body (102). A coupling unit (106) is provided at a second end for detachable coupling.
