Abstract: The present application provides a display method and an electronic device. The method can be applied to an electronic device, and comprises: receiving a plurality of notification messages of different categories; in response to an operation of opening a notification center, displaying a first display interface of the notification center, wherein the first display interface comprises a plurality of display partitions, each of the plurality of display partitions comprises a plurality of notification messages coming from different applications but belonging to the same category, and the categories of notification messages comprised in different display partitions are different; and in response to an operation of folding a target display partition among the plurality of display partitions, folding and displaying notification messages of a plurality of different applications comprised in the target display partition. According to the technical solution, when there are many notification messages displayed in the target display partition, a user can conveniently fold the notification messages in batches to make the display interface of the notification center more concise.
