Abstract: A display device (DD) includes a plurality of lower insulating layers (L-INS) on a substrate (SUB), a light- emitting element (OLED) on the lower insulating layers, an encapsulation layer (TFE) on the light-emitting element and including a plurality of insulating encapsulation layers (EN1, EN2, and EN3), a base insulating layer (BSL) on the encapsulation layer, a conductive pattern (CTL) on the base insulating layer, and an upper insulating layer (U-INS) on the conductive pattern. The upper insulating layer may be spaced from an edge of the substrate. At least one insulating layer among the lower insulating layers, the encapsulation layer, and the base insulating layer extends to the edge of the substrate. A first surface roughness of a first upper surface (US1) of the at least one insulating layer, without being covered by the upper insulating layer, may be greater than a second surface roughness of a second upper surface (US2) of the at least one insulating layer covered by the upper insulating layer.
