Abstract: ABSTRACT DISPLAY APPARATUS A display apparatus (1000) includes a display area (DA) having a plurality of subpixels (SP, SP1, SP2, SP3). Each subpixel (SP) of the plurality of subpixels (SP, SP1, SP2, SP3) includes a first light emitting element (ED1), a second light emitting element (ED2), and a pixel circuit (10) commonly connected to the first and second light emitting elements (ED1, ED2). A first cathode electrode (CE1) of the first light emitting element (ED1) and a second cathode electrode (CE2) of the second light emitting element (ED2) are separated from each other. Supply voltages (ELVDD, ELVSS) applied to the first and second cathode electrodes (CE1, CE2) are varied according to a viewing angle control mode so that one of the light emitting elements (ED1, ED2) emits light for a wide viewing angle and the other emits light for a narrow viewing angle. The configuration allows electrical switching between wide and narrow viewing modes without the use of mechanical filters, thereby enabling an adjustable viewing angle with high brightness and image quality.
