MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641036259 A) filed by Reddy, Gunjur Muninanjappa Girish on March 25, 2026, for Directionally Stiffened Primary Load-Path Beam Architectures For Uav Structural Bodies, Propulsion Arms, And Landing Gear.

Inventors include Reddy, Gunjur Muninanjappa Girish; Rajesh, Paramandam; Raja, Veluswamy Bernard; and Shaw, Hrithik.

The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: An unmanned aerial vehicle includes a structural body 110, at least one propulsion arm 120 supporting a propulsion unit 144A, 144B, and at least one landing gear element 150A, 150B. One or more directionally-stiffened beam assemblies, including an internal structural feature 330 of a structural member 220, are coupled to, integrated with, or form part of load-bearing structural portions of the vehicle. Each beam assembly includes elongated stiffness members oriented to provide a principal stiffness dimension relative to expected operational load directions. Operational loads introduced through the propulsion arm 120, propulsion unit 144A, 144B, landing gear element 150A, 150B, coupling feature 320, or fastener or pivot 322 are transmitted along distributed load paths through the structural body 110 or structural member 220, thereby reducing localized stress concentration at joint and attachment regions.
