Abstract: Efficient fleet monitoring is important in industries, warehouses, and large industrial premises. Manual vehicle monitoring can lead to delays, poor fleet management, and difficulty in tracking inactive vehicles. To overcome these issues, the Digitalized Vehicle Tracking and Monitoring System is developed as an IoT-based solution for real-time vehicle monitoring and management. The system uses a compact PCB module installed in each vehicle, consisting of an ESP32-WROOM, NEO-6M GPS module, LoRa communication module, and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The GPS module continuously collects the vehicle’s latitude and longitude, while the ESP32 processes the data along with battery percentage and Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). The collected information is transmitted through LoRa communication to an MQTT network server for monitoring and tracking. The system allows operators to search vehicles using VIN, monitor vehicle movement, identify low-battery modules, and detect vehicles that remain stationary for longer periods. The proposed system provides a low-power, long-range, and cost-effective solution for efficient fleet management and real-time vehicle tracking within industrial environments.
