MUMBAI, India, June 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621052073 A) filed by Sage University on April 23, 2026, for Digital Twin System And Method For Personalized Disease Prediction And Virtual Intervention Simulation.
Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Sumit Jain; Dr. Abhay Kothari; Dr. Sachin Patel; and Chetanyajain.
The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to digital twin technology for personalized disease prediction and virtual intervention simulation. The digital twin system (100) includes a communication interface (102) that receives patient data from multiple data sources, including wearable sensor data and electronic health record data. A hardware processor (104) generates a personalized digital twin model representing multi-organ physiological interactions, incorporating cardiovascular simulation parameters and respiratory simulation parameters. The hardware processor (104) executes a multi-organ simulation process that models bidirectional interactions between two or more organ systems, producing simulated physiological response data. Based on this data and the personalized digital twin model, the system (100) automatically generates electronic recommendation signals transmitted to a computing device for clinical decision support. The digital twin system (100) enables clinicians to simulate patient-specific physiological responses and evaluate potential interventions virtually, supporting improved diagnostic accuracy and personalized treatment planning.
