Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: DIGITAL TANPURA REPLICATING THE TUNING PROCESS OF ACOUSTIC TANPURA FOR EAR TRAINING Disclosed herein is a digital tanpura replicating the tuning process of acoustic tanpura for ear training (100) comprising eight knobs (01-08) of tuning array, a master knob (09) , an encrypted database (10), power supply (11) and a speaker (12) wherein the knobs (01)(05) correspond to the string Ma-Pa -Ni, the knobs (02)(06) correspond to Shadja1(Sa1), the knobs (03)(07) correspond to Shadja2(Sa2) and the knobs (04)(08) correspond to Kharja. Present disclosure enables independent tuning and playback of individual strings. The knobs (01-04) are provided for individual volume setting while the knobs (05-08) are provided for the pitch tuning for each individual string. The volume control knobs (01-04) also allow you to switch the particular string on or off, with a single press. The master knob (09) is used to choose the musical note from C through B of a 12-note chromatic scale.
