Abstract: ABSTRACT Digital Dysregulation and Delay in Academic Tasks: Internet Addiction as a Predictor of Academic Procrastination among Secondary School Adolescents The present disclosure relates to a system and method to adaptively control digital-device and network operations during a verified academic task-initiation interval. A processor validates a cryptographically signed task credential defining authorised resources, permitted interruptions, a control duration and an initiation-evidence rule. Operating-system and network events are converted into content-blind event sketches and time-aligned across enrolled devices. A hysteretic drift-state estimator detects a transition into competing digital interaction, and a policy controller selects a permitted minimum-friction control level. An actuation interface responsively modifies notification scheduling and at least one of packet routing, domain-name resolution, quality-of-service treatment, radio-wakeup scheduling or application launching while preserving authorised and emergency traffic. An initiation-proof module evaluates fresh evidence from independent machine-event classes and relaxes the control upon satisfaction of a quorum. The disclosed arrangement reduces packet activity, device wakeups, control-state oscillation and sensitive-data retention while maintaining availability of authorised task resources under intermittent connectivity conditions.
