Abstract: A method is disclosed for correcting an image block, comprising: A reconstructed image block is filtered (S1702) to obtain a filtered image block. A block of difference transform coefficients is obtained (S1704) from the filtered image block and another image block. A correction function is applied (S1706) on the block of difference transform coefficients to obtain a block of corrected transform coefficients. The block of difference transform coefficients is subtracted (S1708) from the block of corrected transform coefficients to obtain a block of correction coefficients. The block of correction coefficients is inverse transformed (S1710) to obtain a correction block. A corrected filtered image block is obtained (S1712) based on the correction block.
