Abstract: TITLE OF INVENTION: SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MOBILE GEOLOCATION USING COORDINATED WEB-CONNECTED DEVICE ABSTRACT: The present invention relates to a system and method for Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) position correction using mobile devices. The present invention comprises a reference Mobile Device (102) including a GNSS-enabled mobile computing device (103) positioned at a known fixed geodetic reference location (104) having a Correct GPS position (105). A processing module (106) determines a representative GNSS position (107), and a correction determination module (108) generates a positional error vector (109), which is associated with a Device Identifier and timestamp and stored in a cloud-based backend infrastructure (111). A Target Mobile Device (112) includes a processing module (115), a correction retrieval module, and a correction application module configured to retrieve and apply the positional error vector to generate a corrected GNSS position. The invention compensates for temporally correlated GNSS positioning errors by synchronizing measurements using Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), thereby improving positional accuracy without requiring dedicated differential GNSS or RTK hardware.
