Abstract: A device with a skin sensor for injecting a medicament is provided. The skin sensor comprises a drop ramp and a sliding ramp adjacent to the drop ramp, the skin sensor further comprises a skin sensor insert being configured to slide along the sliding ramp such that the skin sensor insert is prevented from moving to the drop ramp, which prevents or reduces movement of the skin sensor to prevent an actuation of the device. In some embodiments, the drop ramp is configured to receive the skin sensor insert such that when the skin sensor insert engages the drop ramp, the skin sensor can be moved. Methods of using the device with a skin sensor are also provided.
