Abstract: ABSTRACT DEVICES, METHODS, APPARATUSES AND MEDIA FOR A GNODEB CENTRALIZED UNIT TO IDENTIFY A TIMING ADVANCE ACQUISITION TYPE Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to network devices, methods, apparatuses and medium for a gNodeB (gNB) centralized unit (CU) to identify a timing advance (TA) acquisition type. In an aspect, a first network device transmits, to a second network device, a first message comprising an indicator of a timing advance (TA) acquisition type. The indicator indicates whether the TA acquisition type is a gNodeB (gNB) indicated TA acquisition type or not. By implementing the embodiments of the present disclosure, the first network device (e.g., a gNB DU) could inform the second network device (e.g., a gNB CU) of a TA acquisition type, thereby making the TA acquisition type available in the CU for the intra DU LTM cell switch scenario.
