Abstract: An integrated recharge rate and contaminant coupled estimation device (100) for subsurface monitoring is disclosed. The device comprises a subsurface deployable probe assembly (101) installable across a vadose zone, capillary fringe, or saturated aquifer, hydro- physical sensing elements (102) including soil moisture, pore-water pressure, hydraulic head, and temperature sensors, and hydro- chemical sensing elements (103) including electrical conductivity, pH, redox potential, and ion-selective contaminant sensors. A data acquisition and synchronization unit (104) collects time-stamped multi-depth data, which is processed by an embedded processing unit (105) executing a recharge contaminant coupling algorithm to compute groundwater recharge rate, contaminant concentration trends, and mass flux, generating a recharge normalized contaminant loading output. A decision-support module (106) produces recharge efficiency indices and contaminant risk indicators. A power management subsystem (107) enables autonomous operation, and a communication interface (108) transmits processed outputs for real-time, in-situ differentiation between contaminant dilution and mobilization during recharge events.
