The application for the patent was published on June 19, 2026, under issue no. 25/2026.

Abstract: An automatic carding gap adjustment device for a carding machine (2) is disclosed. The machine comprises a main cylinder (5) and a revolving flat chain arrangement (6) guided by a flexible bend (10). The device includes at least one setting element (11) mounted on the flexible bend (10), each comprising a cam device (13) with an eccentric profile, a drive means (12) such as a stepper motor, and a setting bracket (14). The cam device (13) is actuated by the drive means (12) to move the flexible bend (10) upward or downward, thereby adjusting the carding gap between the flat chain arrangement (6) and the main cylinder (5). A control system automatically regulates the drive means (12) based on feedback from sensors monitoring the gap, enabling precise and reliable adjustment during machine operation. The invention reduces dependency on operator skill and increases productivity by allowing real-time, automated gap setting. FIGURES 2
