MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076080 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology, Chennai on June 19, 2026, for Device For Monitoring Physiological Conditions With Risk Alert Generation.
Inventors include Aniruddhan S; Ravi V; and S S V Mridula.
The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a device (100) for monitoring physiological conditions with risk alert generation, including one or more sensor modules (102) configured to detect physiological parameters and a control unit (202) operatively coupled to the one or more sensor modules (102). The control unit (202) processes the physiological parameters to determine a physiological condition based on comparison with predefined, first, and second thresholds. Based on the physiological condition, the control unit (202) selects an operating mode including a passive mode, an active mode, or an emergency mode and controls a sampling rate of the one or more sensor modules (102) using timing signals generated by a hardware timer (106).The control unit (202) transmits the physiological parameter to an external module (108) in real-time, thereby facilitating adaptive monitoring and timely risk alert generation.
