Abstract: A device for detection and correction of thumb sucking habit for children, comprises a wearable acrylic thumb member 101 adapted to be worn on a hand of a child by a caregiver to restrict thumb sucking behaviour, multiple inflatable pads 201 to provide adaptive cushioning and secure grip on the thumb, a motorized roller 102 wrapped with a looped strap 103 to tighten or loosen the strap 103 for secure positioning of the thumb member 101, an audio alert module 104 integrated with the acrylic thumb member 101 monitors the child’s speech patterns against age appropriate benchmarks and generates audible alerts to interrupt the habit and notify the caregiver, a vibration unit 105 integrated with the acrylic thumb member 101 to deliver vibrational feedback on the thumb region, and multiple electronic nozzles 203 positioned within the acrylic thumb member 101 to dispense a controlled dose of the agent toward the thumb surface.
