The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates to the mining industry, and more particularly to devices for optimizing the combustion process during underground coal gasification (UCG). A device for the controlled movement of an point of injection to the surface of the burn front during underground coal gasification comprises at least two pipe segments connected to one another by a coupling adapter, and a capture cap mounted on the end part of a pipe segment, wherein said capture cap has monitoring and measuring equipment installed therein and lateral nozzles are provided in the side walls of the pipe segment, in direct proximity to the capture cap, for guided injection. The technical result of the claimed invention is that of: making it possible to move the point of delivery of oxidant to the burn front by any distance with no restrictions on the number of movements and without the use of additional mechanisms that increase the risk of breakdown and malfunction; making it possible to change the direction of injection, thus preventing the build-up of injection gas in cavities remaining after the coal seam has burned away; simplifying the structure of the device and reducing the material intensity thereof; and increasing the service life of a gas generator and the safety of the coal gasification process.
