Abstract: A device for adaptive energy generation, comprising of a rectangular platform 101 adapted to be placed within a corridor environment, a plurality of energy-harvesting plates 102 comprising Force Sensing Resistor (FSR) sensors configured to detect pressure exerted when a user walks over the platform 101, the detected pressure is converted into electrical signals and processed by an energy harvesting circuit store energy into a battery, a light sensor embedded within the platform 101, configured to detect ambient light levels, and when the detected light falls below a predetermined threshold while user presence is detected by FSR sensors, generates a signal to activate illumination, a plurality of LEDs 103 operable in response to the signal from the light sensor and powered by energy stored in the battery arranged with the platform 101, thereby providing efficient corridor illumination while optimizing energy consumption.
