Abstract: The invention relates to a device for dispensing a liquid from a container, comprising: - an inlet channel configured to be brought in fluid communication with the container; - a pump in fluid communication with the inlet channel, the pump including a pump chamber and a piston reciprocally movable in the pump chamber; - an inlet valve arranged between the inlet channel and the pump; - a buffer facing the pump and in fluid communication therewith; - a nozzle for dispensing the liquid, the nozzle in fluid communication with the pump and/or the buffer; and - an outlet valve arranged between the pump and/or buffer and the nozzle; wherein the buffer comprises an elastic buffer bag defining an expansible volume and extending at least substantially in alignment with the pump chamber. The invention further relates to a system for dispensing a liquid, comprising a container and a liquid dispensing device as described above connected thereto.
