Abstract: ABSTRACT “DEVICE AND METHOD TO GENERATE AC AND DC ELECTRICITY ALONG WITH HOT-WATER FROM SUNLIGHT USING ENCAPSULATED SILICON PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR PANEL IMMERSED IN A LIQUID” simultaneously generates direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) electricity while producing hot water, achieving high energy efficiency without contributing to global warming. The system integrates encapsulated silicon photovoltaic cells (SPVC) suspended in a non-working fluid (NWF) within a multi-layered structure. Upon sunlight exposure, the SPVC generates DC electricity with up to 20% efficiency via the photoelectric effect, while the photothermal effect produces heat energy with up to 60% efficiency. Heat captured by a working fluid (WF) such as dichloromethane is used in an Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) to drive a heat engine, generating AC electricity with 10% efficiency and hot water at up to 50°C. The system’s innovative design also captures waste heat, preventing atmospheric release and reducing global warming impacts compared to conventional solar panels, which inefficiently convert heat energy and contribute to greenhouse effects.
