The device (100) further includes a tactile navigation panel (20) bearing braille-embossed legends defining touch-sensitive control zones mapped to the chapter and verse hierarchy, a voice command module (30) configured to match captured speech against a fixed set of command templates, a display (80) configured to render a visual representation of a navigation state, and a state and navigation controller (90) configured to maintain the modalities in a single common navigation state.
