Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method (300) and a wearable device (100) for generating a metabolic flexibility score indicative of a metabolic fuel-switching capability of a user. In one example, the wearable device (100) includes one or more physiological sensors (108), a communication interface (104), and a controller (106). The physiological sensors (108) continuously monitor physiological parameters associated with the user. In operation, the controller (106) generates, a set of physiological feature data of the user. Further, the controller (106) generates an integrated dataset by temporally synchronising the set of physiological feature data and the second set of data. The controller (106) determines one or more temporal relationships between the physiological events and the glucose- response events and generate, the metabolic flexibility score based on the determined one or more temporal relationships.
