Abstract: Development of water usage monitoring system for construction site Abstract: Construction sites consume vast amounts of water for activities like concrete mixing, curing, masonry, and dust suppression, often leading to excessive wastage and higher costs due to a lack of real-time monitoring. To address this issue, this project develops an automated Water Usage Monitoring System that employs flow sensors installed at key distribution points. A microcontroller processes the collected data and transmits it to a centralized dashboard for real-time observation of instantaneous flow rates, total consumption, and activity-wise metrics. Furthermore, the system generates automated alerts for excessive consumption or unusual flow patterns. By enabling data-driven decision-making, this system empowers site managers to optimize resource allocation, curb wastage, and promote sustainable construction practices, with potential for future cloud integration and predictive analytics.
