Abstract: Abstract Title: Development of Mikania micrantha Extract Integrated Chitosan/Titanium Nanocomposite for Liver Cancer Therapy The present invention describes a novel plant-mediated nanocomposite comprising Mikania micrantha extract integrated within a chitosan—titanium matrix for potential liver cancer therapy. The nanocomposite is synthesized using a green, eco-friendly approach, where the plant extract acts as a natural reducing and stabilizing agent, improving biocompatibility and reducing toxicity. Physicochemical characterization is carried out using UV—Visible spectroscopy, FTIR, XRD, SEM/TEM, AFM, and zeta potential analysis. Biological evaluation includes antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cytotoxicity studies using the HepG2 liver cancer cell line, along with reactive oxygen species (ROS) detection and Ethidium Bromide staining. The combined effect of chitosan, titanium nanomaterials, and plant-derived bioactives enhances stability, cellular uptake, and anticancer activity. This invention provides a safe, effective, and sustainable nanocomposite platform with promising potential for advanced liver cancer treatment.
