Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel herbal nano-hydrogel formulation loaded with anti-HIV phytoconstituents for enhanced antiviral therapy. The formulation comprises nano-sized herbal bioactive compounds encapsulated within a biocompatible and biodegradable hydrogel matrix designed to improve stability, bioavailability, controlled release and therapeutic efficacy. The anti-HIV phytoconstituents are processed into nanoparticles and subsequently incorporated into a polymeric hydrogel system prepared using pharmaceutically acceptable polymers and crosslinking agents. The developed nano-hydrogel provides protection against environmental and physiological degradation while enabling sustained and controlled release of the encapsulated phytoconstituents over an extended period. The formulation further enhances cellular uptake, tissue retention and therapeutic performance while reducing dosing frequency and improving patient compliance. The preparation method is reproducible, scalable and suitable for industrial manufacturing. The disclosed invention therefore provides an advanced herbal nanomedicine platform for the effective delivery of anti-HIV phytoconstituents and represents a significant advancement in the field of antiviral drug delivery systems.
