Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: “DEVELOPMENT OF FIXTURE AND METHODOLOGY FOR TESTING SWELLING PROPERTY OF HARD GLASS MATS” The present invention relates to a clamping fixture (100) and a method (600) for testing the swelling behavior of hard glass mats used in insulation systems after treatment with epoxy resin hardener mixture. The clamping fixture (100) comprises two solid cuboidal clamping plates (102,104) positioned parallel to each other to apply uniform pressure on the test sample(110). Additionally, two cuboidal limiting pieces (106,108) are arranged between the clamping plates, forming a clamping area (112) of at least 25 mm height to secure the sample(110) while allowing controlled expansion at the edges. The limiting pieces restrict lateral movement, ensuring accurate testing conditions. A pair of threaded bolts with nuts secures the clamping plates and limiting pieces together, providing a stable and reproducible testing setup. [
