MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641109805 A) filed by Srm Institute Of Science And Technology, Ramapuram Campus; and Easwari Engineering College on September 13, 2026, for Development Of Basic 3d Fem Analysis Tool For Framed Structure.
Inventors include Mr. K. Vinoth Kumar; Dr. S. Kotteeswaran; Dr. R. Divahar; and Mr. Kamesh.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to B-STAD (Browser-based Structural Analysis & Design), an innovative, interactive Finite Element Method (FEM) modeler designed to function natively within the modern web browser. The system leverages a Client-Side Heavy (CSH) architecture utilizing JavaScript ES6+ and WebGL (Three.js) to perform high-order linear static and modal analysis without relying on remote server processing or heavy local desktop installations. The software includes a rigorous numerical matrix solver based on the Direct Stiffness Method, capable of processing 6 degrees of freedom per node. The invention introduces a Generative AI Modeling module that translates natural language text prompts into physical 3D structural data, drastically reducing manual drafting time. By democratizing access to computational statics and eliminating restrictive licensing barriers, the present disclosure provides a cost-effective, platform-independent solution for structural engineering design, rapid prototyping, and real-time visualization of structural deformations and internal forces.
