MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511127690 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on December 16, 2025, for Development Of A Hydrogel-Based Adhesive Mnp Loaded With Ce-Mg Doped Hydroxyapatite And Their Uses Thereof.

Abstract: The present invention pertains to synthesis and characterization of three Ce-Mg co-doped HAP (1Ce-1Mg HAP, 2.5Ce-2.5Mg HAP, and 5Ce-5Mg HAP) using a co-precipitation method. The modified HAP exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial properties that can be further enhanced by adding a 3D-printed microneedle patch, which delivers the material to deep tissue which is capable of damaging the bacterial membrane.
