Abstract: The present invention relates to the development and evaluation of anti-obesity effects of plant-based functional foods. A synergistic blend of natural ingredients, including papaya, grapes, cinnamon, and, hibiscus, was formulated into a powder that can be easily incorporated into various food and beverage.· products. Plant-based foods are rich in a wide·array of bioactive compounds, including polyphenols, flavonoids, alkaloids, terpenoids, and fibres, all of which have demonstrated potential in combating obesity. Some plant-based foods have been shown to regulate adipogenesis (fat cell formation), enhance thermogenesis (tat burning), improve lipid metabolism, reduce appetite, and inhibit the accumulation of fat in the body. The anti-obesity effects of plant-based functional foods offer a natural and sustainable approach to weight management. By targeting various mechanisms such as fat breakdown, fat storage inhibition, appetite regulation, and improved metabolism, these foods may serve as a complementary strategy for managing obesity. However, more robust clinical trials and research are required to establish their full potential and optimize their use in combating obesity. Combining these natural foods with a balanced diet and regular physical activity .could contribute to more effective, long-term weight management solutions .
