Abstract: Abstract 10 15 This project focuses on the development and implementation of a sustainable and cost-effective method for the removal of detergents from laundry wastewater using biochar and charcoal mix. Biochar and charcoal are carbon-rich materials produced through the pyrolysis of organic waste, is employed as an adsorbent to capture and remove detergent compounds from laundry waste water. The objective is to provide an environmentally friendly solution to address water pollution caused by detergent discharge. Traditional wastewater treatment methods may not effectively remove these contaminants. Therefore, there is a need to develop an efficient and sustainable solution for detergent removal from laundry wastewater. One sustainable solution to address the problem of detergent removal from domestic wastewater is the implementation of a biochar-charcoal mix filtration unit. The domestic laundry waste water is collected and is filtered by using a biocharcharcoal mix filteration unit. This filtered water is used for gardening purposes. The efficiency of the biochar-charcoal mix unit is analyzed by changing the concentration of wastewater, the quantity of biochar-charcoal ratio as well as detention period of the filter. After finding the efficiency, a separate biochar-charcoal mix filtration unit and its 20 estimate will be prepared for an individual house.s, converting
