MUMBAI, India, Oct. 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541028412 A) filed by Infosys Limited on March 26, 2025, for Detection Of Disassembled Items.

Inventors include Allahbaksh Mohammedali Asadullah; Monirul Islam; Amirul Islam; and Anant Pande.

The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.

Abstract: Training of a detection network (110) to detect disassembled items is disclosed. To train the detection network (110), three-dimensional (3D) representations are generated for known items. Material properties are assigned to each 3D representation. Each 3D representation is fragmented into various objects and imaging representations are synthesized for each fragmented object. Each imaging representation is augmented with metadata indicating the object material properties. For each augmented imaging representation, two feature vectors and a feature profile are generated for training the detection network (110). The two feature vectors represent two-dimensional and three-dimensional characteristics of each augmented imaging representation of an object. The detection network (110) is trained to generate, in a feature space, embedding vectors for various imaging representations, with distances between the embedding vectors indicating the degree of association between them.
