MUMBAI, India, July 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641076935 A) filed by Mahaswetha T J on June 22, 2026, for Designing A Novel Chemical Compound For Hidradenitis Suppurativa (hs) Using Insilico Techniques.
Inventor includes Mahaswetha T J.
The application for the patent was published on July 03, 2026, under issue no. 27/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT The suggested invention, which makes use of Insilico technologies, focuses on the distinct chemical structure of the protein target's antimicrobial activity (IsdC, which is present in Staphylococcus lugdunensis and causes skin infections like Hidradenitis suppurativa (HS)). Automated insilico methods were used to forecast, build, and assess the structure. Using chemical repurposing and the computer-aided drug design (CADD) method, a novel compound (2-i2-methyl-3-( {3-[(3R,4R)-4-methyl-3-[N- methyl( 1,5,7-triaza-1 H-inden-4- yl)amino]piperidin-1 -yl]-3-oxoprop-1 -ylidyneamino} methyl)phenylamino]benzoic acid). Pharmacokinetic measures such as ADMET (Absorption, Distribution, Metabolism, Excretion, and Toxicity) and QSAR (Quantitative Structure-Activity Relationship) profiling were used to validate this new drug. Following the successful prediction of its pharmacological similarity score, the chemical was exposed to the anti-microbial target, namely IsdC (iron-regulated surface determinant C). A study on protein profiling used the IsdC sequence. The domain area was docked using an automated molecular drug docking approach. The total docking study results imply that our proposed chemical structure could bind in the structural domain regions of IsdC. Keywords: IsdC, Staphylococcus lugdunensis, In-silico Modeling, Molecular Docking.
