Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: DESIGN OF A COST-EFFECTIVE, SMART, AND SUSTAINABLE ACADEMIC DJANGOLMS LIBRARY PLATFORM The present invention relates to a federated bibliographic search platform (100) for academic library management in resource-constrained institutions. The platform (100) comprises a six-layer architecture including a concurrent asynchronous query dispatcher (110) simultaneously querying at least sixteen open bibliographic APIs with circuit breaker protection (111) and deduplication, a pluggable AI service facade (120) abstracting five inference backends including a local GGUF-based offline inference engine (121) re-ranking search results using weighted scoring based on access proximity, format preference, and embedding-based subject relevance, and a multi- channel patron notification sub-layer (112) dispatching through WhatsApp, SMS, email, and SMTP with automatic failover. The platform integrates federated multi- database bibliographic search, offline-capable artificial intelligence inference, and reliable patron notification within a single platform deployable on minimal computational infrastructure costing below one thousand Indian Rupees per month for academic library automation.
