This paper discusses the latest advancements in solar desalination and purification technologies, their operational mechanisms, benefits, challenges, and future prospects. It highlights innovative methods such as solar stills, photovoltaic-powered reverse osmosis, solar multi-effect distillation, and solar-assisted adsorption processes, coupled with recent developments in materials science and engineering. Fast desalination and purification processes will provide clean and safe drinking water for communities in need, while ensuring content shared adheres to ethical guidelines.
