Inventors include Dr. Sujit Kumar Mohanty; G. Nangalya Swathi; Bokka Sahasra; Chinimill Keerthi Sowjanya; Pandu Pragathi; Kallem Chandu Priya; and Sorapalli Harshitha Ratna Harika.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of medicinal chemistry and pharmaceutical sciences and, more particularly, to novel curcumin—ferulic acid conjugates and their use as potential anticancer agents. The invention provides hybrid compounds comprising a curcumin moiety covalently linked to a Ferulic acid moiety through a suitable chemical linker, including but not limited to ester, amide, ether, carbamate, carbonate, or alkyl linkages, to generate new molecular entities with desirable physicochemical and pharmacological properties. The invention further encompasses the design, computational optimization, and in silico evaluation of the conjugates using molecular modeling, geometry optimization, molecular docking, molecular dynamics simulation, binding free energy calculations, and ADMET prediction against one or more cancerassociated molecular targets
