Abstract: ABSTRACT [0013] Natural disasters such as floods, cyclones, and earthquakes often strand victims in areas that are difficult or unsafe for conventional rescue teams to reach in time. This work presents the design and implementation of a life-saving hexacopter drone system built around a Pixhawk Cube Orange flight controller. The drone uses GPS-guided autonomous and remote-controlled flight to carry and deliver life jackets and other emergency supplies to stranded victims, with a servo-actuated dropping mechanism ensuring precise payload release at the target location. The hexacopter configuration, powered by 180KV BLDC motors and 23x8.8 folding propellers, provides redundant lift and stable flight even under adverse weather conditions such as high winds and rain. Telemetry-based real-time monitoring allows rescue teams to track the drone location, flight status, and mission progress remotely. Field trials in simulated disaster scenarios confirm the system reliably reaches designated coordinates and releases its payload accurately, demonstrating its potential to accelerate emergency aid delivery in flood, cyclone, and other disaster-affected regions.
